About Dr. Nancy Goldman
Dr. Nancy Goldman is an educator, storyteller, and advocate for compassionate leadership. With experience in a variety of work environments - on Wall Street, in corporate America, non-profit, government, academia, and comedy clubs - Nancy understands that creating more supportive and productive work environments requires changing hearts then minds.
Dr. Goldman empowers professionals to lead themselves and others. Adjunct faculty at Columbia University's Teachers College and New York University, her expertise in learning and development and as a certified coach, make her an empathetic mentor, scholarly advocate, and visionary guide.
Always forward-thinking, she began teaching Storytelling in Organizations in 2013 and Spirituality in the Workplace in 2016 at NYU. Around the same time, she started teaching at a correctional academy which revealed a profound need for compassion among both inmates and officers. This sparked Dr. Goldman's ongoing study, practice, and teaching of compassion. She has been certified as an Ambassador of Compassion through Stanford University, studied at the Center for Compassionate Leadership, The Compassion Institute, and The Center for Mindful Self-Compassion, taken Compassion Cultivation Training (CCT) and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).
